Description

When I discovered the ‘triad method’ it was as if someone had finally turned the lights on in a dark room. Not only could I instantly recall any note on the neck, but I could also find my scale intervals and chord tones all over the fretboard.

For many guitarists understanding the fretboard is one of, if not the biggest hurdle we face in our learning. We work on building fundamental skills like, speed, fingerpicking, slide playing & articulation but, so many of us neglect the most important skill of all. Having a solid understanding of the fretboard and being able to visualize the patterns between notes will make you a better improviser, a better rhythm player and an all-round much much better musician.
